Focus on: talking about gender

During the 2nd EMEG meeting on the Euro-Mediterranean policy dialogue on research and innovation (Sousse, Tunisia, 22-23 September 2014) we had the opportunity to pose some questions to Anna Fumarola (Fundación Mujeres Por Africa), Soukeina Bouraoui (The Center of Arab Woman for Training and Research (CAWTAR), and Rosanna Quagliariello (CIHEAM IAM Bari) on gender and its inclusion in the policy framework informing Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation on Research and Innovation.

Gender is a key cross-cutting issue addressed in the MedSpring project and remains a key challenge for advancing solutions in the food, energy, and water domains. As mentioned by the interviewees, women are often the nexus between food, energy and water. We therefore asked to 3 experts how to evaluate the current policy framework on EUMediterranean cooperation on research and innovation for what concerns gender inclusion. Please click the link to see the three interviews: http://agora.medspring.eu/en/content/talking-about-gender.can hardly be overstated.
