Euro-Mediterranean Conference on Agriculture

In the framework of the Italian EU Presidency in the second semester of 2014, the Italian Authorities have decided to hold a Euro-Mediterranean Conference on agriculture in Palermo (Sicily) on November 28th, 2014. This Conference ideally follows the path of dialogue set out with the First Euro-Mediterranean Conference on agriculture that took place in Venice on November 27th, 2003.

Innovative Food Security Indicators in the Mediterranean region

CIHEAM has decided to dedicate its Watch Letter 32 on “Innovative Food Security Indicators in the Mediterranean region”. This issue will be published in April 2015. We would like to invite all the experts interested by the publication to submit proposals by October 30 (no more than 4-5 lines) in order to present the topic, the authors involved and theirs positions. Please find the Call that contains guidelines and technical details about the publication.

CIHEAM is pleased to announce that Greece has been assigned the coordinating role of the Network of the seven Member Countries subscribed to the Mediterranean Diet in UNESCO's representative list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. The Greek Ministry has assigned, as the coordination point, the CIHEAM-Chania. The press box of CIHEAM Secretary General, Cosimo Lacirignola, released last week an article in the Huffington Post.
