The Government of Morocco and the World Water Council are launching the call for candidatures for the 5th edition of the King Hassan II Great World Water Prize, which rewards excellence or innovation in “Cooperation and sound management in the development and use of water resources.” The winner will be granted an award of US$100,000.
The Prize is presented every three years in conjunction with the World Water Forum. It will be awarded for the fifth time at the 7th World Water Forum that will take place in Daegu & Gyeongbuk, Republic of Korea, from 12th to 17th April 2015. The specific topic of the 2015 edition is “Innovation for access to water, energy and sanitation in the face of global changes”.
Candidates must be nominated by at least two individuals and/or organizations with thorough knowledge of the qualities and accomplishments of their candidate in line with the Prize theme. Nominations forms - together with the required documents - are to be submitted to the King Hassan II Great World Water Prize Secretariat by 30 September 2014 at the latest.
